Ramon Espelt i Casals (Gironella, Barcelona. 1953) Ramon Espelt graduated in Exact Sciences in 1974. Since then he has combined two professions: teacher of mathematics and film scholar.

Publications
In 1985 he published (jointly with Jordi Balló and Joan Lorente) Conèixer el cinema, a book to introduce the cinema into schools. He then wrote Cinema català. 1975-1986 (also with Balló and Lorente), Protecció i conservació de l’obra cinematogràfica, Mirada al món de Bigas Luna, Ficció criminal a Barcelona. 1950-1963 and Jonás cumplió los 25. La educación formal en el cine de ficción 1975-2000. In 2006 he published the text A infância do spectador cinematográfico in the book A infância vai ao cinema (Autêntica editora), edited by Inês Assunçao de Castro Teixeira, Jorge Larrosa and José de Sousa Miguel Lopes. In 2008 he published Laberints: llocs, textos, imatges, films.

Exhibitions
He has also been the documentalist on various projects related to the cinema and curator (with Aurora Corominas) of the image archives and travelling exhibition Fora de camp. Set itineraris per l'audiovisual català, first presented in Barcelona in 1999. Multimedia idea and script of "El viajero inmobil" in the exhibition L'Arquitectura del Turisme. El viatge i les vacances. COAC, Barcelona, March-April 2009.

Educational programmes
Outstanding among his more recent works (with Eulàlia Bosch) are the original idea, script and direction for various Internet programmes (Visual Poetry, Citizenship), and the remodelling of the education services and the creation of a website for Gaudí's La Pedrera building.
